Is the Trinity biblical? Some claim Jesus is not God. Others claim the Holy Spirit is not a separate person but is either God's impersonal force or just a synonym for the Father. Skeptics like Bart Ehrman claim that the synoptic gospels don't even describe Jesus as divine, so the Trinity was something the church made up to harmonize John's later gospel (which clearly says Jesus is God) with the earlier writings (which allegedly do not). In this episode Ken explains what the Trinity means, why we believe it, and responds to some of these objections.
